INVERTER AND MOTOR DRIVE TECHNOLOGY AND RELATED OPPORTUNITIES FOR
COLLABORATION On November 9 and 10, 1995 the Oak Ridge National
Laboratory (ORNL) Power Electronics Center (PEC) will host a briefing
and Laboratory tour to acquaint U.S. industries with new power inverter
and motor drive technologies developed under sponsorship of the
Department of Energy (DOE) and with new opportunities for U.S.
industries to collaborate with ORNL on related research projects.
Briefing objectives are to find new applications for this technology,
to promote collaborative participation by U.S. industries, and to
ensure equitable dissemination of ORNL research information. The
briefing will be at the Pollard Auditorium in Oak Ridge, Tennessee; the
PEC Lab tour will be at the K-25 Plant. Foreign National candidates for
the PEC Lab tour must complete a special form (contact Conference
Secretary to receive facsimile of form) and return it by September 25
to LMES, Attn: Conference Secretary, P.O. Box 2003, Building K-1008F,
Oak Ridge, TN 37831-7258. The pre-registration fee is $85 through
