S -- SATELLITE FEED FOR RADIO BROADCAST SOL 09-6-1 POC Donna Souders, (301) 457-1866 The Bureau of the Census intends to award a sole source contract to North American Network, Inc., 7910 Woodmont Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20814, for the period Oct. 1, 1995 through Sept. 30, 1996, to provide weekly 15-minute satellite feed of the Census Radio Broadcast Service (CRBS) radio program at a pre-established time each week. Provide placement of notification of each weekly program in monthly newsletter, including: writing a feature article each month;, outlining upcoming story segments for the following month; Distributing newsletter to stations/networks across the country; Adding new outlets to distribution list as advised by the Census Bureau or a requested by stations or networks; Updating station/network addresses as necessary and providing incidental station information to the Census Bureau as requested; and Providing 25 additional copies of the newsletter to the Census. Provide weekly placement of each CRBS, consisting of four individual segments, on a telephone call-in service or ''actuality'' line, with an exclusive 800 phone number, for radio stations to call in and download actualities and features, including: loading material at 48 kHZ; Maintaining introductory menus for stations accessing service; Monitoring and logging call-ins to the services and Placing 20 recruitment/follow-ups calls per month to prospective stations. Provide the Census Bureau with quarterly broadcast reports listing all stations known to be airing the CRBS and also listing the following: Total number of calls received on the CRBS ''800'' newsline; Total number of verified stations/networks accessing the CRBS newsline or receiving tapes or transcripts; Total number of repeat callers identified as having called three or more times during the quarter; Average number of calls to CRBS newsline per week; Total number of stations and networks notified by contractor about the call-in service and the Total number of states covered by stations calling the CRBS newsline. The Bureau will provide bi- weekly two (2) master digital audiotapes (one for each week) for up-link to satellite; Two master audio tapes (one for each week) for use on ''800'' newsline call-in service; Updates each month of upcoming radio sements for use in preparation of newsletter material. No solicitation document exists and requests for such a document will be considered nonresponsive. Interested parties must submit a capabilities statement including detailed pricing information that delineates the ability to meet the stated requirement. If no written affirmative responses are received within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this notice, award will be made to North American Network, Inc.
