Y -- DREDGING THE CHANNEL REALIGNMENT OF THE WATERWAY ON THE COAST OF VIRGINIA IN THE VICINITY OF GARGATHY INLET, ACCOMACK COUNTY, VIRGINIA SOL DACW65-95-B-0052 DUE 102695 POC Contact Debbie Gray, Telephone Number 804-441-7551 The project consists of dredging the new alignment of the channel in the vicinity of Gargathy Inlet to a width of 60 feet and a depth of 6 feet plus 1 foot of allowable overdepth. Total length of all dredging is approximately 7,000 feet. Total estimated amount of material to be dredged including allowable overdepth is 57,800 cubic yards. The dredged materials shall be placed in nearshore government-furnished placement area indicated. Pumping distances will vary between 5,000 and 12,000 feet. All scheduled work activities which form a part of this contract must be completed before 31 January 1996. The work includes total suspended solids monitoring and reporting, beach surveys, and aerial videotaping of the placement site beach. This is a SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE procurement. Magnitude is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. Duration of the project is 60 calendar days.
