17 -- GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT FOR H-60 SOL N68335-96-Q-0006 DUE 101295 POC Fran Hufnell Code 2132, (908) 323-2902. Peculiar Support Equipment for the H-60 Aircraft. Various items of test fixtures and adapters for maintenance (all quantities are 10 each): Load Test Fixture Adapter Kit (P/N NT189F), Optical Stroke Adapter (P/N NT204M), Load Test Fixture (P/N NT189), Optical Stroke Setting Fixture (P/N NT543Ma), Leak Test Fixture (P/N NT581), and a Mode Selection Test Set (P/N TE129741-3). This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Simmons Precision Products as the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the Peculiar Support Equipment to be acquired, is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary for the manufacture and the design/application requirements of the H-60 PSE involved. Firms that recognize and produce the required items are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
