As part of the Strategic Nuclear Arms Elimination (SNAE) Agreement of the Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program, the Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA) has a requirement for two ambulances. These ambulances will provide emergency medical and transport capabilities for individuals injured because of accidents that may occur during the transportation of de-fused missiles from the ICBM complexes to the Neutralization Facility as required by the SNAE Agreement. In an effort to reduce the amount of time required to procure the vehicles, ambulances based on currently available designs are requested. In the absence of such vehicles, proposed ambulances should provide the capability for immediate, on-site medical care to patients suffering from injuries ranging from toxic chemical exposure to cuts and lacerations to severe burns resulting from the ignition of one or more toxic chemicals.
