This is a notice of intent to negotiate a contract with SCI Technologies Inc, Bozeman MT, for the purchase of Labworks Interface System PN D0002. This system allows cadets in all levels of chemistry to design experiments, acquire data, and analyze data in the laboratories. The Labworks Interface System allows for creation of new experiments, makes measurements using various sensors such as thermistors, pH probes, and photocells, and has built-in spreadsheet functions to allow for graphing and analysis of experimental data. It also has two sets of low voltage (+/- 2.4V) and low current (+/- 2400uA) inputs, two DAC outputs, three digital inputs, and an acessary port for digital input/output. It allows for custom sensor design for laboratory stations -- This acquisition is approved for a sole source contract action as authorized by FAR 6.302-1 -- No solicitation package will be issued -- However, all interested sources may identify their product by submitting pricing data, and accurate description of the equipment offered and make and model numbers of the equipment -- Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement -- Award will not be made on the basis of responses received to this synopsis -- If no favorable responses are received by close of business 45 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD, a contract will be negotiated with the above named source -- See Numbered Note 22.
