D -- DEVELOPMENT OF THE BIDDERS LIST FOR THE FEDERAL WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES (FWTS) ACQUISITION Contact Point, Christine M. Costello, Contracting Officer, 703/827-5188 The General Services Administration (GSA) intends to issue a solicitation to provide wireless telecommunications services in the US, (for the purpose of this solicitation the US is defined as the contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico). The FWTS acquisition was previously managed by the Defense Information Technology Contracting Office (DITCO) and is now managed by the Center for Post-FTS2000 Procurement. The resulting contract will a non-mandatory use Post-FTS2000 contract; i.e. the use of this contract will be at an agency's discretion. This contract will also provide wireless telecommunication devices and direct ordering of services. The contract will consist of a three year base period with five one year options. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued shortly.
