Characteristics: welded steel hull, 215.0 feet in length, bredth of 42.0 feet, draft of 20.0 feet, 1,920 ton displacement. Work will include, but not be limited to: replacement of engine control room doors; repair and modification of new reel; replacement of blast freezer in fish laboratory; refurbishment of new ramp gate; weight testing of boat davits; deck repair on second deck; replacement of vang swivels on main boom; anchor padeyes on oceanographic ''A'' frames; cleanout and inspection of main hydraulic tank; and, continuation of salt water service system conversion from steel/pvc to cuni piping. The anticipated notice to proceed date is 12/11/95. Vendors can anticipate a four-week performance period. The ship's availability for inspection has not yet been determined, and will be announced in the solicitation package.
