L -- ENGINEERING SUPPORT RELATING TO CLASSING OF COMMERCIAL/NAVY SHIPS SOL N00024-96-R-4012 POC Richard Nicol, SEA 02411R, Contract Specalist, 703-602-0204. RFP N00024-96-R-4012 will be issued to American Bureau of Shipping, 45 Eisenhower Dr., Paramus, NJ 07652, for up to 30,000 base year man-hours, and two options of 30,000 man-hours each, of technical, engineering and program support in accordance with written Technical Instructions of the Naval Sea Systems Command. Services will be in support of ship design review, material condition surveys, engineering analysis and appropriate certification. This solicitation is sole source to American Bureau of Shipping because as the original provider of engineering support for NAVSEA relating to classing of Commercial/Navy Ships, they alone possess the requisite knowledge and expertise to perform these services.
