For International Development (USAID) Mission to Jordan is seeking a
U.S. Private Sector or Non-Governmental Organization(s) in the field(s)
of Health Services and Family Planning to provide services in the area
of Comprehensive Post Partum Service Delivery, to include Postnatal
Care, Family Planning and Infant Health Care/Health Services, Training
in Service Delivery Methods, Counselling, etc. and development of
related IEC materials. This techincal assistance will include
management support, training, information systems design, and
development of IEC materials. Joint ventures consortia, and other forms
of legal association are encouraged. Participation of Gray Amendment
entities is encouraged to the fullest extent. USAID encourages the
participation to the maximum extent possible of U.S. entities that are
small, socially and economically disadvantaged bsuiness concerns,
including women-owned concerns, historically Black colleges and
universities, colleges and universities having a student body in which
more than 40 percent of the students are Hispanic American, and
private voluntary organizations which are controlled by individuals who
are socially and economically disadvantaged in accordance with part 19
of the FAR and part 726 of the AIDAR. A minumum of 10% of the total
contract value must be subcontracted to a gray amemdment entity(ies),
unless the offeror selected for awrad qualifies as a Gray Amendment
entity. The objective of the CPP Project is to reduce the prevailing
high rate of fertility in Jordan and to increase the number of women
initiating and sustaining use of effective contraceptive methods during
and after the post partum period. The selected contractor will provide
long term advisory services as well as short term consultancies. Award
of a performanced based cost, plus fixed-fee cntract for a period of
three years is anticipated, with the possibility of extension up to one
additional year. A demonstrated capability in working with health
providers and governmental support agencies in health care and family
planning is perferred, as is an established record of performance in
the overseas context, particularly the developing world. This CBD
