Contractor will be required to provide customer services for an
historic preservation/cultural resource public program. Primary
responsibilities include (1) database management for project
volunteers, actual projects, and other interested parties, (2) design,
layout, production and distribution of public notification of
projects, (3) receiving and processing volunteer applications, (4)
coordinating volunteers with individual national forest projects, (5)
compiling data for various reports, and (6) representation at different
national archaeology/historic preservation conferences. Potential
offerors must possess, as a minimum: membership and/or active
participation in a national archaeological society like Society for
American Archaeology or Society for Historic Archaeology, ability to
communicate both orally and in writing with professional archaeologists
and general public, and direct field experience in archaeology and
historic preservation. Intended contract is for 1 year with 2 option
