The project includes construction of a single story Child Development Center Building. The building consists of load bearing masonry walls with brick veneer and exterior insulation finish system. Roof system consists of steel trusses, steel decking, insulation and metal roofing. Other building components consist of hollow metal frames, wood doors, ceramic tile restrooms, carpet and resilient flooring, fire protection sprinkler system and mechanical and electrical systems. Supporting facilities including water distribution lines, gas distribution lines, sanitary sewer lines, storm drainage lines, sidewalks, parking, landscape and incidental related work to provide a complete and usable facility. The proposed acquisition listed herein is being considered for 100% Set-Aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Concerns. Interested SDB Concerns should notify this office in writing, Attn: Code 0212LR of their intention to bid the project as Prime Contractor as early as possible but no later than 29 SEPT 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvanaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB Concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. In either event, an amended synopsis will be issued indicating set-aside decision, Bid Opening Date and cost for plans and specs. Estimated cost is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00.
