18 -- SPACE STATION CENTRIFUGE ACCOMMODATION MODULE SOL NAS15OG325 DUE 110695 POC STEVE MILEY, Tel:713-244-7895 Contracting Officer:STEVE MILEY, Tel:713-244-7895 The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Space Station Program Office intends to procure through full and open competition a Centrifuge Accommodation Module (CAM). The primary purpose of the CAM is to house the Space Station Centrifuge Facility. It will serve as a pressurized module component of the International Space Station and provide additional stowage capability. SPECIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN PREPARED In DRAFT FROM AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. THESE SPECIFICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW At THE LYNDON B. JOHNSON SPACE CENTER INDUSTRY ASSISTANCE OFFICE. The Government is making these DRAFT specifications available for industry/public information and review and is requesting comments from parties interested in submitting a proposal on this procurement. The Government is being assisted in the review and compilation of this specification by the Muniz Engineering Company and Science Applications International Corporation (support contractors to NASA). Further, the Boeing Company (Space Station Prime Contractor) will be reviewing the specification from time to time for the limited purpose of identifying any potential incompatibilities between the Space Station and the CAM, and notifying the Government of such incompatibilities. However, the Government is solely responsible for the content and requirements of the specification. The above mentioned specifications may be obtained at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center Industry Assistance Office, Bldg. 111, Houston, TX 77058. Technical comments may be submit- ted in writing to: Vehicle Integration Manager, MS OB, Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX 77058. Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities including Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting opportunities should notify the Contracting Officer for placement on the source list. The applicable SIC Code is 9661. Anticipated RFP release date is November 6, 1995. NASA contemplates a CPAF contract with a period of performance April 1996 through December 2001. (0261)
