324-5724. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement
for the purchase of a Stahl B-26/444 Buckle Folder or Equal. The Buckle
Folder must meet the following minimum salient characteristics: Shall
have a maximum speed of 7,100 inches per minute; shall be capable of
folding minimum and maximum sheet sizes of 6 inches by 8 inches and 26
inches by 40 inches, respectively; shall have a continuous feeder;
shall be capable of folding 8 and 16 page signatures in an 8 page unit
and a 16 page unit; shall have 4 fold plates per unit; shall have the
capability of scoring, cutting, and perforating; shall have stainless
steel buckle plates with swing deflectors to ensure longevity, fast
setup, and ease of operation; shall have individually toothed gears or
belt driven cross carrier rollers for quiet, safe, and precise folding
functions; shall have a roll-away delivery table; shall have an
electronic batch counter and sheet-per-hour speed indicator; shall have
side and front air blowers for sheet separation; shall have combination
steel and polyurethane folding rollers; and shall have jam detectors at
exit of each folding unit. The resultant contract requires that the
Contractor shall provide adequate on-site training for six (6) FBI
employees. The FBI requires a trade-in credit for a Model 33-T, 22 Inch
by 32 Inch Baum Paper Folder. The resultant Contractor shall provide
inside delivery to the FBI's Print Shop, Room 1B973, at the FBI J.
Edgar Hoover Building, Washington, D. C. All uncrating, placement,
anchoring, removal of crating material, and the removal of the trade-in
equipment shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. Delivery and
installation is required within 30 days of contract award. Interested
parties shall submit a written request for the solicitation package
within 15 days of the publication of this notice. No telephonic
