61 -- CABLE SPECIFICATIONS POC Anthony J. Flaherty, Acquisition Manager (617)494-2673. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is in the process of revising their cable specifications. We are soliciting information to determine if currently available industrial grade cables will meet the revisions currently under consideration. The cable types include power, signal, control, radio frequency and telephone. Within the power type there are two voltage ranges to consider. They are 600 to 15,000 volts and 5,000 to 25,000 volts. The style options include interior/exterior and direct earth burial. To accomplish this task, we are requesting cable manufacturers to submit information, catalogs and data sheets on these products.
