William Bolyard, Contracting Officer, (304) 285-4171 The Government intends to negotiate a contract with General Electric Environmental Services under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). The contractor will perform individual and integrated precommercial demonstration testing of a contractor-owned pressurized fixed-bed gasifier, a moving bed hot gas desulphurization system, and associated subsystems such as valves and other mechanical components. The objective of the testing is to resolve issues impeding the demonstration and commercialization of advanced concepts for coal-fueled combined cycle electric power generation. Advanced concepts of removal of sulphur, particulates, and other contaminants from hot coal-derived fuel gases will be investigated. See Note 22. (0261)
