COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 20,1995 PSA#1435New Jersey DOT, 1035 Parkway Avenue Trenton, NJ 08625 A -- CREATION AND OPERATION OF AN INTERNET PRESENCE ON THE WORLD WIDE
WE B FOR THE DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION BY THE I-95 CORRIDOR
COALITION DUE 100695 POC Ms. Christine Cox, Administrative Manager
(609)530-4278. PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND - The I-95 Corridor Coalition is
a coalition of 33 federal, state local and other transportation
agencies formed to coordinate highway operations and implementation of
intelligent transportation systems in the Northeast Corridor from
Virginia to Maine. It is focused on a seamless, state-of-the-art,
multi-modal transportation network benefitting both travelers and goods
movement throughout the Northeast Corridor. Through communication and
cooperation, this partnership serves as a clearinghouse for information
regarding operational management and intelligent transportation systems
(ITS) implementation, to promote mobility, safety, environmental
quality and movement in the Corridor. For additional information about
the Coalition, check the prototype home page at URL
http://rpinfo.its.rpi.edu:80/~karola/ corridor.html. The I-95 Corridor
Coalition is initiating a program to expand its current efforts of
providing real time travel and static construction information to the
general public through use of state-of-the-art technology, with one
focus on the INTERNET. As the Coalition's programs enter the deployment
stage, it has become increasingly important to explore other means to
inform the general public of the availability of multi-modal travel
information within the corridor. OBJECTIVES- The I-95 Corridor
Coalition is seeking responses from organizations whose expertise can
direct the most efficient use of the INTERNET through development of a
web page. Our objective will be to expand the audience currently
receiving travel condition information for highways, Amtrak and other
modes to residents and travelers within the Northeast Corridor.
Additionally, we are interested in potential use of the INTERNET to
advance other Coalition projects, which are either currently underway
or planned. We seek an approach which would minimize cost to the
Coalition and provide potential opportunities for the development of
public/private partnerships. REQUIREMENTS - The I-95 Corridor Coalition
is subject to all applicable Federal and state laws and regulations
where services will be provided. COSTS - he I-95 Corridor Coalition
assumes no responsibility for costs incurred by vendors associated with
the preparation of information in response to this request. RESPONSE
INSTRUCTIONS - Organizations are requested to submit a letter of
interest (no more than 7 pages) with information indicating their
willingness to provide these services or consultation should a formal
Request for Proposal(RFP) be issued. Their response should also

on the most efficient means of accomplishing the project's objectives
as well as the overall feasibility of this concept. Other suggestions
related to this project which demonstrate the offerors understanding
