Engineering Center is seeking sources of existing equipment that may be
used to disperse existing and developmental riot control agents.
Candidate equipment should be lightweight (approximately 20 pounds
filled), easily carried (i.e. shoulder slung), field refillable, and
operable by only one person. The riot control agents will be dispersed
primarily in liquid form, although the ability to also disperse
powdered agents with the same equipment is considered desirable.
Existing agents to be dispersed include CR, CS, and Oleoresin Capsicum
(pepper mace). Testing of candidate equipment will be performed at
Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, and no additional support from the
supplier is anticipated. There is no current commitment on the part of
the U.S. Army to award a contract as a result of this request for
information nor to pay for the information received. Interested sources
should provide written notification and include product literature and
