DISA/DITCO, Scott AFB IL, intends to contract with MCI Telecommunications Corporation, Government Systems Division, 8200 Greensboro Drive, McLean VA 22102-3803, under an existing contract for continuous, non- interrupted telecommunications service, based on unusual and compelling urgency. This requirement is for service of one narrowband circuit (56 kbps) between Onizuka Air Force Base, Sunnyvale, California, and the Diego Garcia Tracking Station located on Diego Garcia Island, Indian Ocean. The service will be extended for approximately one year, commencing on 26 October 1995. This contract action continues service pending reaward, which is in process.
