(BHI) seeks potential suppliers interested in demonstrating unique or proprietary process to remove strontium-90 (maximum concentration is 1000 pCi/liter) from groundwater. Demonstration units should be capable of operating at 1-5 gpm with a strontium removal efficiency goal of 90% or greater, and will be connected in parallel with an existing ion exchange treatment system loaded with clinoptilolite. BHI will operate the demonstration unit (anticipate a 2-month testing period) and perform all strontium-90 analytical testing under guidance and direction. BHI requests budgetary cost estimates from interested vendors for possible installation, operations, and analysis of demonstration units.
