ACQUISITION REFORM INDUSTRY ROUND TABLE Considering defense contractors a vital member of the acquisition team, Mrs. Darleen Druyun, Acting Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition), and the Air Force Association are co-sponsoring Industry Round Tables on a regional basis. These Industry Round Tables will foster Air Force and defense industry discussions and interaction on important and far-reaching acquisition reform initiatives. The Industry Round Table objectives are to provide the opportunity for senior industry executives to: Comment on the announced Air Force acquisition reform initiatives; To identify barriers to acquisition reform; To make recommendations for further reform. These discussions will be of particular interest to defense industry senior-level contracts and program management officials. A key feature of the round table program is the formation and use of industry work groups to develop comments and recommendations toward enhanced reform. We held the first Industry Round Table in Washington D.C. on 11 August 1995, and we have scheduled the second in Los Angeles for Thursday, 28 September 1995. Dallas Texas is the site for the third meeting on 6 Oct 95; with the last one scheduled for 16 Oct 95 at Dayton Ohio. Due to seating capacity, we are limiting attendance at each Industry Round Table to the first 200 registrants.
