Solicitation scheduled to issue on or about October 16, 1995. This is a special open Season opportunity to submit new offers under multiple award schedule 61, part V, section a. The effective period of contracts awarded from this open Season opportunity is 1/1/96-10/31/2000. The Solicitation will include new or revised clauses that implement new GSA initiatives. Clause I-FSS-164-D, option to extend term of the contract, allows existing contracts to be extended for an additional five years beyond the basic contract period set to expire on 10/31/2000. This clause also provides for annual open Season solicitations to be issued during the option period. Clause I-FSS-125, requirements exceeding the maximum order and related clauses implementing the new maximum order provisions are included. To assist the customer agencies to determine when they should seek a price decrease, a level called a maximum order will be established under each contract. When an agency order exceeds this amount, It is recommended that the agency contact the vendor for a reduced price. The vendors will not be obligated to accept these orders in accordance with FAR 52.216-19. Clause I-FSS-599, electronic Commerce-Federal acquisition network (facnet), and related clauses that implement gsas advantage are also included. (GSA advantage will use this facnet system to receive price list and send purchase orders.) see Note 12 (trade agreements). All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. notice in an effort to reduce paper costs, the Government will be distributing Solicitation 7FXI-D7-95-6108-1, FSC group 61, part V, section a for portable, standby and prime generators, load Banks, transfer swithces and primary and secondary batteries to offerors on a 3 1/2 inch disk in word for windows version 6.0.
