Dick, 617/495-7401, FAX 617/496-7692 Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) requires the fabrication of two fused silica lenses and two Zerodur (or ULE) mirrors to be used in a large optical spectrograph. The lenses will have a diameter of approximately 415 mm and maximum thicknesses less than 80 mm. The concave mirrors will have diameters of approximately 630 mm and edge thicknesses less than 125 mm. The focal lengths of the mirrors are approximately 420 mm and 1370 mm. The surfaces of the lenses and mirrors are spherical.
