THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Annapolis Detachment, anticipates modifying existing contract N61533-94-D-0057, (Gibbs & Cox), on a sole source basis, for additional services in support of developing advanced auxiliary systems architectures, equipment and equipment modules, habitability modules, and combat system integrated modules for incorporation into future surface ship fleet in support of the Affordability Through Commonality Program. This modification is to an existing five year contract with Gibbs & Cox. Note 22 applies to the extent that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements, under the authority of 10 U.S. C. 2304 (c)(1).
