Ross, Contracting Officer, (407) 380-4221 SOURCES SOUGHT - The US Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) has a requirement for the development of a Personal Computer (PC) based forklift operator trainer. Desirable attributes for the system are: simple, COTS PC based training simulation, table-top or ''arcade'' style, sit-in simulator; Operator will be able to see the forks, mast, etc. on the PC monitor as he manipulates the forklift to the load; Instructor/Operator shall control a variable capability to ''Lift'' palletized loads of various ''weights'' and ''cube''; Forklift operator is advised of operating errors via audible warnings, visual alerts, or possible CRT screen blackout; reconfigurable dual/single controller to emulate speed, direction, boom operations and fork controls.
