The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, intends to negotiate solely with Beckman Instruments for Maintenance of Beckman Instruments owned by the Government. The instruments to be maintained are: (1) Gradient System 334 including 1-HPC Controller 421, 2-Pumps 110A, and 1-Injector 210; (2) DU-7 Spectrometers including Source Coverage; (2) L8-70 Centrifuges including Rotor Coverage; (1) L8M-80 Ultracentrifuge including Rotor Coverage; (1) LS 8000 Liquid Scint. Counter; (1) XL-70 Ultracentrifuge including Rotor Coverage; (1) E-SCAN; (2) DU-70 Spectrometers including Source Coverage; (1) TL100 Centrifuge including Roter Coverage; (1) L8M-70 Ultracentrifuge including Rotor Coverage; (1) L8-80 Ultracentrifuge including Rotor Coverage. Maintenance will be from October 1, 1995, or when funds become available, through September 30, 1996. Companies with the demonstrated ability to provide the maintenance of the above equipment must submit within 15 days of this notice a written response including prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability to meet the entire requirement. It should be noted that no contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice but will be used to determine if a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available. If no affirmative written responses are received an order will be placed with the above referenced company without further notice. (0264)
