Herting, 202/326-4160 The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) seeks to extend the period of performance for an additional ten months under a contract for Labor Services. The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) plans to increase the contract hours of the incumbent provider to acquire specialized technical LAN support and maintenance services to assist in the successful implementation and operation of its new Premium Accounting System (PAS). This a continuation of work already being undertaken by an existing provider within PBGC's Financial Operations Department. The provider has capabilities and knowledge gained from providing technical assistance in performing PAS related LAN support and maintenance activities. It is PBGC's belief that in view of the provider's familiarity with PBGC's technical LAN environment, as well as an understanding of the PAS, the provider is uniquely qualified to perform the duties of the contract without an undue amount of assistance from the PBGC.
