474-3385. This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an
invitation for bid. The intent of this pr-solicitation synopsis is to
identify potential offerors for a firm fixed-price contract for
cathodic protection at Ford Island, Naval Station, Oahu, Hawaii. The
work includes replacing five anode wells, installing four test
stations, repairing two structure bonding connections and incidental
related work for the cathodic protection system protecting the Ford
Island Ferry terminal structures. In addition, this project shall test
all structure bond connections to insure proper operation of the
cathodic protection system. Deteriorated bond connections shall be
replaced. The solicitation is a performance specification that
represents the Government's minimum requirements. The contractor is
responsible for and shall provide overall coordination and design of
construction details (100% design drawings, shop drawings, etc.) and
ensure satisfactory completion of all work covered under this contract.
