Modular Disk Storage Subsystem - Basic Items consisting of: Modular disk storage subsystem cabinet (l EA), HSC Server/Controller Unit (2 EA) and Disk Array/Shelf (9 EA). Option Items consisting of: Modular disk storage subsystem cabinet (2 EA), HSC Server/Controller Unit (4 EA), Disk Array/Shelf (l4 EA) and CI-to-FDDI Conversion Kit (4 EA). Option Items may be exercised up to 2 years after date of contract award. Each Modular Disk Storage Subsystem shall: (l) Provide dual redundancy and automatic failover capabilities, (2) Be able to house a minimum of 70 EA, 4.3GB formatted capacity disk modules and 2 EA HSC Server/Controllers, (3) Support a minimum of 270GB formatted capacity, expandable to 300 GB formatted capacity, (4) Provide a front panel LED display to indicate which SCSI bus is in use, disk drive unit number and disk activity, and (5) Be compatible with the latest versions of Digital Equipment Corporation's OpenVMS Operating System and Volume Shadowing layered software product. Delivery to NSWCDD, Dahlgren, VA 22448 within 30 days after date of contract or exercise of option, F.O.B. Destination. Installation required at NSWCDD, within 30 days of delivery and includes installation to an existing star coupler in a VMS Cluster environment and all necessary unpacking/electrical/cabling/system and component connections to effect full operational connectivity. Commercial documentation required for each subsystem. A l2-month warranty required with maintenance services performed at NSWCDD, on a 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week basis with response required within 4 hours from Government telephonic notice and completion required within 8 hours from the required response. A SECRET Security Clearance is required for access to the installation site for installation and warranty maintenance. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. (0265)
