Work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, the contractor supplying all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for Historic building main entrance door modifications. Criteria for evaluation will be based on price. The estimated cost range is $65,000.00 to $85,000.00. If offers are to be picked up in person, prospective offerors should come to the US Postal Service, Long Island District - Administrative Support, Purchasing, 1377 Motor Parkway, 3rd Floor, Hauppauge, NY 11787-9111. Solicitation may be picked up between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM; Monday through Friday. Only one solicitation will be given per request. Solicitation packages will be available on September 01, 1995. A limited number of packages are available and will be issued on a first come first serve basis until supply is exhausted. This is not a negotiated solicitation, offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offer will not be disclosed to anyone except to Postal personnel whose official duties required such information until award of contract is made. Competency Requirement - The contractor shall submit evidence of five (5) years experience of having completed the same or similar landmark restoration work as described herein. The experience record shall indicate a minimum of three (3) landmark projects of the type described herein. The work should have been performed within the past three (3) years. This information should be submitted with your proposal. The proposal may be rejected if the offeror fails to meet the experience requirements set forth above, or if the offeror has established on prior projects a record of unsatisfactory workmanship or for untimely completion of the work.
