ACTUAL SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED ELECTRONICALLY; THEREFORE, THERE IS NO NEED TO RESPOND IN WRITING WITH REFERENCE TO THIS CBD NOTICE. DCA200-93-R-0044 is cancelled and is being resolicited under this RFP. The Defense Information system Agency (DISA) and the Defense Information Technology Contracting Office (DITCO), Scott AFB, IL. will procure through an electronic bulletin board, the DISA Acquisition Bulletin Board System (DABBS), the following services: USAGE SERVICES FOR INMARSAT DIGITAL STANDARD ''B'', ''C'' AND ''M'' TERMINALS. USAGE SERVICE FOR HIGH SPEED DATA OPTION FOR STANDARD ''A'' AND ''B'' TERMINALS WILL ALSO BE ACQUIRED. ''B'' AND ''M'' SERVICE WILL INCLUDE STUIII CAPABILITY. USAGE SERVICE WILL BE REQUIRED ON A GLOBAL BASIS, WITH SERVICE CAPABILITY 24 HOURS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK. THIS SERVICE WILL BE FOR SHIP-TO-SHIP AND SHIP-TO-SHORE. The resultant Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract will be for three years with two one year options. The anticipated RFP release date is 03 Oct 95 with proposals expected to be due on 24 Oct 95. Vendor proposals in response to this RFP must be received in hard copy. Vendors will be able to dial into the electronic DABBS, and download the RFP, check the status of the RFP, submit questions, receive amendments and other RFP related correspondence. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Information from the electronic bulletin board system will either be in ASCII or Microsoft Word 6.0 format. RFPs are usually a compressed (PKZIP) MS Word file requiring you to have compatible software to extract the file. The DABBS can be accessed by any vendor through standard hardware and software. To access DABBS, the necessary communications parameters are 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, with modem speeds of 1.2- 14.4 KPBS. DABBS requirements will remain posted until the deadline has passed for submission of vendor proposals.
