Administration (NASA) invites applications for funding under the
Advanced Concepts Research Projects Program (ACRP). During fiscal year
1996, the ACRP will hold general competition CAN-OSAT-95-01 in which
proposals in all areas of technology meeting the ACRP criteria are
solicited. This invitation provides general information for the
competition, as well as proposal due dates, program competition topics,
and other competition-specific instructions. Those interested in
applying for ACRP funding must contact the ACRP at the address shown
below to obtain application materials. The Program Information Package
(PIP) is available electronically via Internet from the NASA Advanced
Concepts Office homepage on the World Wide Web, via a dedicated
Anonymous FTP server. Copies may also be obtained upon request from the
NASA Advanced Concepts Office. Mandatory letters of intent are required
for CAN-OSAT-95-01. The purpose of these letters of intent is to allow
early development of technical evaluation teams to support timely
review of ACRP proposals. The mandatory letters of intent must be
received at the address listed below no later than 4:00PM local time on
October 27, 1995. Proposals must be received by 4:00PM local time on
December 1, 1995. Should the NASA site be closed on the specified due
date, ACRP proposals will be due at 4:00PM local time on the next
business day that the NASA site is open. It is the responsibility of
applicants to ensure that their proposal is received at the ACRP by the
date and time stated. Applicants for CAN-OSAT-95-01 must submit five
(5) copies of their proposals. The length of the proposal should not
exceed thiry-five (35) one-sided pages. Proposals are to be sent to:

Flight Center, Huntsville, AL 35812. NASA has selected electronic
transmission as the primary method of distributing the 1995 Advanced
Concepts Research Projects Program (ACRP) Cooperative Agreement Notice
(CAN). NASA will issue the 1995 ACRP CAN starting Noon, EST, September
29, 1995. Potential offerors are encuraged to obtain the Solicitation
by one of the various methods of electronic distribution described:
Internet FTP Requests: The ACRP CAN and other program information is
available via Internet MOSAIC and FTP for those with direct Internet
access. OSAT's Advanced Concepts Office anonymous FTP site is
(http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/acrp/oac.html). Any commercial or public
domain DTP package should connect to the site. To access the server
through MOSAIC, load the NASA Advanced Concepts Office home page
(http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/acrp/oac.html). If you are using a
Windows or Macintosh based FTP package, moving through the directory
structure and getting files is usually just a matter of point and
click. To request a printed copy of the ACRP Cooperative Agreement
Notice, or to have your name added to the ACRP database for future
mailings, you may use these options: 1. Request information via fax at
