FINLAND: CERTAIN RADIO EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS The following notification has been received in Gatt Document TBT/Notification G/95.251 dated 22 August 1995. 1. Member to agreement notifying: Finland. ICS numbers may be provided in addition, where applicable): This regulation shall apply to cordless telephones, CECT equipment, Radio Local Area Networks (RLAN). Mobile terminals, PR 27 telephones. Control, telecommand, telemetry, alarm and data transmission equipment, telecommand equipment for scale model aircraft, on-site paging systems, wireless microphones and hearing aids, radars for control and supervision and for alert, mobile INMARSAT-C-. INMARSAT-M- and OMNI-T-RAGS terminals of the EUTELTRACS systems and equipment of the DSRR system, which operate on the collective frequencies defined in regulation THK F/95/M issued by the Telecommunications Administration Centre on collective frequencies for certain radio transmitters and their use. 5. Title and number of pages of the notified document: Regulation on type approval requirements for certain radio equipment. 6. Description of content: The main change in substance of this new draft regulation as compared with its predecessor THK 11 E/95 M is in the part defining type approval requirements for NMT mobile terminals. This part has been rewritten applying the principles of Article 4 in the TTE Directive 91/263/EEC to include only the essential requirements. In other parts of the regulation a number of references to ETSI standards have been up-dated. For implementation of ETSI standards the transition rules in accordance with CEPT REC. T/R 01-05 have been followed. The principle of mutual acceptance of test reports and recognition type approval. Certificates from each other EEA countries, provided that they are based on equivalent level of requirements, is included. 7. Objective and rationale: The purpose of this regulation is to guarantee the effective use of the radio frequency spectrum. In addition, the provisions of the EMC directive are applicable. The TTE directive requirements for GSM terminals and DECT equipment (CTRS) have been implemented by the regulation THK 20 E/95 M. 8. Relevant documents: CEPT recommendations, ETSI standars, National and Nordic System specifications. 9. Proposed date of adoption and entry into force: To be determined. 10.
