REPUBLIC OF KOREA: BUOYANT MATERIALS USED IN MARINE FARMING PRODUCTS SAFETY INSPECTION METHOD The following notification has been received in GATT Document TBT/Notification G/95.253 dated 22 August 1995. 1. Title and number of pages of the notified document: revision of the safety inspection criteria for buoyant materials used in marine farming products. 6. Description of content: The IAA revises the safety inspection method for the shapes and sizes of buoyant materials used in marine farming products as follows: acceptable quality level (AQL) is reduced from 4.0 per cent (the maximum number of samples is 32 pieces) to 2.5 per cent (the maximum number of samples is five pieces): inspections are conducted based on the size and type of the buoyant materials. 7. Objective and rationale: to facilitate the trade of buoyant materials used in marine farming products. 8. Relevant documents: legal basis: Quality Management Promotion Act. 9.
