J -- AUTOMATED BOILER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM--SS CURTISS Sol DTMA94-95-R-55005 Contact Point, Michael Meduski, Contracting Officer, (617) 376-8459, Fax (617) 773-148 Award of a firm fixed-price contract is contemplated to provide an automated burner management system and an Advanced Process Automation Control System (APACS) on-board the Ready Reserve Force (RRF) vessel SS Curtiss at Port Hueneme, CA. The Government intends to award the contract to G. R. Bowler. The automated burner management and APACS systems are required to interface as an integrated unit with the existing G. R. Bowler Boiler Control System Model No. ABC-GRB-446-1-4. Required maintenance of the burner management and APACS systems must be serviceable by a single boiler control contractor. Maintenance requirements of the system must be identical to maintenance requirements of other vessels of the same class which include the G. R. Bowler Boiler Control System Model Nos. ABC-GRB-446-1-4 and BM-GRB-31302-1-6-W and APSCS. Spare parts must be compatible and interchangable with other Bowler Control Systems of the vessel class which utilize Model Nos. ABC-GRB-446-1-4 and BM-GRB-31302-1-6-W and APACS. Address response to the attention of Michael Meduski. Responses to this notice will be used to determine whether bona fide competition exists and whether competitive procurement is appropriate. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Written responses sufficient in detail to establish demonstrated proof of ability to satisfy the foregoing minimum requirements must be received by this office within 30 calendar days after publication of this notice along with indications that the contractor is not currently on the Consolidated List of Debarred, Suspended and Ineligible Contractors or otherwise ineligible to receive Government contracts. This synopsis represents the only synopsis which will be published with respect to this procurement action; however, if competitive procurement is determined to be appropriate, respondents will be included on the mailing lists.
