J -- CONTRACTOR LOGISTICAL SUPPORT (CLS) FOR INDOOR SIMULATED MARKSMANSHIP TRAINER (ISMT) SOL M67854-95-M-2234 DUE 102095 POC TERENCE MCGINN AT FAX (703) 784-5826. The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to issue a $50,000.00 purchase order to Firearms Training Systems (FATS) of Suwanee, GA to procure Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the maintenance of 7 currently fielded small arms training simulators, specifically, the Indoor Simulated Marksmanship Trainer (ISMT). The ISMT is an interactive, video disc, computer-based system which, in combination with eye-safe lasers mounted internally within actual weapons, simulates the use of these direct fire weapons to accomplish training. The Contractor shall have full knowledge and understanding of gas-operated pneumatic compression, military weapons repair, video disc technology, laser technology, and personal computer repair. The military weapons associated with the system are: M16A2, M9, M203, MK19, M2, SAW, SMAW, SHOTGUN, AT4, 240G, and MP5. The CLS shall be provided from a centralized depot containing an inventory of repair parts and spares to include organizational maintenance support in the form of a diagnostic, toll-free service available for technical assistance to the user. The contractor shall meet the following criteria within the contiguous United States: RESPONSE TIME: 12 hours, REPAIR TIME: 48 hours, PHONE SERVICE: 24 hours, TOLL-FREE: MAXIMUM SYSTEM DOWN TIME: 48 hours. Interested offerors that can meet the requirements of this synopsis shall submit a capability statement to COMMANDER, MARCORSYSCOM, CODE CTQ3TM, 2033 BARNETT AVENUE, SUITE 315, QUANTICO, VA 22134-5010 no later than 20 October 1995. Each potential offeror shall indicate whether they are a Small Business as defined by SIC Code 7389. Each capability statement will be evaluated prior to the release of the purchase order.
