R -- ENGINEERING, MARITIME AND TECHNICAL SERVICES ONBOARD EX USS DECATEUR SOL N63394-95-R-0034 DUE 112595 POC Contract Specialist, ELKE FOSS, (805) 982-0617 The Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to issue a solicitation for a Firm Fixed Price and Time and Material Contract for acquisition of engineering, maritime and technical services onboard ex USS DECATEUR (SELF DEFENSE TEST SHIP (SDTS). The Ship (418 feet in length) is a decommissioned DDG, which has been converted into a dedicated Combat Systems Test and Evaluation (T&E) platform. Provide engineering, maritime, and technical services to support the installation, test, inspection, check-out, maintenance, and repair of propulstion, navigation, communication, and auxiliary equipment. Operate the SDTS pierside, at anchor, under tow, and at-sea under its own power. Install, checkout, test, and deinstall equipment/components not under PHD NSWC in- service engineering congnizance for SDTS operations. Prepare, document, and conduct shipboard training for engineering, planning, installtion and test/evaluation personnel. Provide laundry and towing services for at-sea operations. Basic period of performance will be for one (1) year with options for three (3) additional years. A Firm Fixed Price, Completion Contract for the Maintenance, housekeeping, shipboard firefighting and damage control duties, and towing services which comprise approximately 75% of the entire statement of work is contemplated; and, a Time and Material Contract for the remaining approximate 25% for Engineering and Technical Support.
