This notice is issued to notify prospective bidders of an upcoming project which may be of interest to general contractors, in accordance with FAR 36.302. When bid packages becomes available, the plans and specifications will be available for inspection at the following locations, as a minimum, without charge: U.S. Property and Fiscal Office for Rhode Island, Procurement Division, 330 Camp Street, Providence, RI 02906-1954; and the Rhode Island Air National Guard Base, Quonset State Airport, Civil Engineering Division, 1 Minuteman Way, N. Kingstown, RI 02852. The quantity of bid packages, when available, will be limited. Therefore, sets of bid packages will be available to general contractors only. Subcontractors and suppliers will be encouraged to review the specifications and drawings, at no cost, at the locations stated above. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to install a new and complete EPDM roofing system on building P-8, to include removal and disposal of existing insulation and roofing material; install a new and complete EPDM roofing system and drains on building P-5, to include removal and disposal of existing material and removal disposal, and replacement of two rooftop air conditioning units; and install a new and complete EPDM roofing system and drains and repair brick on Building P-1, to include removal and disposal of certain windows. Work will take place at the Rhode Island Air National Guard Base, Quonset State Airport, N. Kingstown, RI 02852. The Project Numbers are TWLR 952002, TWLR 952003, and TWLR 952004. The Construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000 for Building P-8, between $250,000 and $500,000 for Building P-5, and between $100,000 and $250,000 for Building P-1. The IFB will be available on or about 15 October 1995, with Bid Opening on or about 15 November 1995. The anticipated contract performance period is 90 calendar days.
