This procurement provides for failure verification testing of MK-5 Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) and repair and recertification of IMUs and Monitor Component Assemblies (MCAs). Procurement will also contain options for additional quantities of failure verification testing and repairs and recertifications. Pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S. C. 2304(c) (1), SSP intends to negotiate this procurement with Lockheed Martin Defense Systems, Pittsfield, MA 01201 due to their unique knowledge of the guidance system and fire control interface.
