P -- DISPOSAL SERVICES POC Nancy Hassell-Sitar, Code 531, (804) 396-8345 This announcement is to advertise the intent of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) to hold a pre-solicitation conference at 9:00 a.m. on 17 October 1995 relative to an upcoming requirement for NNSY. Contractor services are required to process and dispose or recycle numerous pieces of radioactive equipment which contain non-radioactively contaminated lead encapsulated by stainless steel or carbon steel plate that is externally radioactively contaminated. Drawings will be provided to attendees relative to the equipment. It is anticipated that these services will require the transportation of equipment from NNSY and other naval shipyards or sites to the contractor's processing facility. The conference is to be utilized as a fact gathering session in an attempt to determine the best method of procurement for these services. Interested parties should fax the name(s) of the individuals attending, the social security number for each, date of birth and location of birth to the attention of Nancy Hassell-Sitar, Code 531, at (804) 396-8318, (804) 396-8017, (804) 396-9895 prior to 1:00 p.m. on 13 October 1995 in order for badges to be prepared prior to your arrival. Representatives should report to the Security Office at Gate 15 (Main Gate) a minimum of 45 minutes prior to the start of the conference for badging.
