The scope of this project involves constructing a new 28m x 19m pre-engineered metal building with an eave height of 5.5m on a concrete slab divided into three equal bays. The two outer bays will be used as maintenance bays for fuel tankers while the mid'dle bay will be used for equipment storage and a machine shop. Significant features of the facility include Fire Alarm. System, Wet-Pipe Fire Protection System Design and Installation, Safety Showers and Emergency Eye Washes, Air Compressor Under Lean-To Structure, Compressed Air Distribution System, 480/277 Volt, 3 Phase, 60 Hz Electrical Service, Three Electrical Drop Cords and 10 Wall Outlets Per Bay, 208Y/120 Volt Lighting and Power, Facility Grounding, Facility Lightning Protection, and Paging and Area Warning System Connected to Existing CCAS System. All work is to be accomplished in accordance with KSC Drawing No. 79K34213 and KSC Specification 79K34214.
