The project consists of the renovation of two buildings, Building Nos. 20245 and 20350. Building #20245 is a 66,700 sf, one-story masonry structure; Building #20350 is a 13,700 sf, two-story masonry structure. The major demolition work includes removal of existing loading docks, interior walls, cold storage lockers with associated raised concrete floors, asbestos abatement, and removal of the mechanical and electrical systems complete. Renovation work includes new exterior and interior finishes, new systems furniture work stations, new kitchen and dining equipment, a Class V vault, new door and window penetrations, new mechanical systems, a new power distribution system, relocation of a fiber optics line, replace asphalt parking lot, new landscaping, add/alter utilities, roof renovation, and add/alter fire sprinkler system. Building #20350 will be partially occupied during construction; therefore, coordination is required. Construction coordination with other facilities in close proximity to Bldg. #20350 within the same time frame will be required. The construction period is 390 days. The magnitude of construction is between $5 and $10 million. A Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. SIC Code is 1542.
