The Contractor shall manufacture a negotiated number of ACTS T1 VSAT Intermediate Power Amplifiers (IPA's) and IPA components to replace and/or service 23 existing Government-owned IPA's located throughout the continental U.S., Hawaii, Alaska, and South America. The Contractor shall house these items at its facility, and upon notification by the Government of the failure of an existing IPA, the Contractor shall ship a replacement IPA to the location designated by the Government within 3 days. In addition, the Contractor shall perform a failure analysis on failed IPA's, submit the results to the Government, and upon Government approval may be requested to repair or replace the IPA or component(s). Testing and documentation of Contractor-repaired IPA's shall also be required. Options to purchase additional IPA's and IPA components may also be included in the contract. Estimated period of performance is 24 months with two (2) twelve month options. The date set for receipt of offers is approximate. This notice is for information only. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy on April 16, 1993.
