The Government is requesting Industry Comments on a possible acquisition to Privitize in Place the overhaul of a specific set of stock classes to include; GROUND POWER GENERATORS, POWER SUPPLY UNITS, and WHEEL KITS. This is a request for information only. This is not a Request for Proposals or an indication that the Air Force intends to contract for services. the Air Force will not pay for information received in responce to this request for information. The following (17) items are currently being overhauled on McClellan AFB CA; Generator Carriage Kit NSNs 2530-00-463-9092 and 2530-01-135-1030, Diesel Generator Sets NSNs 6115-00-118-1240, 6115-00-118-1241, 6115-00-118-1252, 6115-00-465-1030, 6115-01-021-4096, 6115-01-036-6374, 6115-01-061-6610, 6115-01-150-4140, 6115-01-155-2340, Gas Generator Set NSN 6115-00420-8486, Motor Generator Set 6125-01-073-5341, 6125-01-082-5505, and power supply NSNs 6130-01-104-9429 and 6130-01-222-0475. This effort is currently being performed solely by government Personnel on Government-Owned Equipment and facilities. The Government is contemplating the possibilty of contracting for the overhaul services on the above equipment with a commercial firm that will utilize, to the maximum extent possible, existing facilities, equipment, and displaced Government employees on McClellan AFB.
