C -- SEEKING ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING CONSULTANT FOR DESIGN OF STATION RECONSTRUCTION AT THE ATLANTIC AVENUE STATION COMPLEX, BOROUGH OF BROOKLYN SOL CM-1018. DUE 103195. Contact Point, S. The New York City Transit Authority is seeking to retain the services of an Architectural/Engineering Consultant for Design of Station Reconstruction at the Atlantic Avenue Station Complex, Borough of Brooklyn. This project consists of the reconstruction of all elements of the three subway stations and the Brooklyn Terminal of the Long Island Railroad that comprise the Atlantic Avenue Station Complex including all interconnecting mezzanines, stairways, passageways and ramps. The stations to be improved are: Atlantic Avenue/Eastern Parkway Line (IRT) Atlantic Avenue/Brighton Line (BMT) and Pacific Street/4th Avenue Line (BMT). The work under this project will provide for the reconfiguration of functions to improve station security, operation and appearance, repairing or replacing deteriorated components of the stations to a sound and serviceable condition, curing water leakage conditions, incorporating applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act including elevator accessibility and generally returning the station complex to a state-of-good-repair. Estimated breakdown of work is approximately 35% Architectural, 18% Mechanical/Hydraulic, 7% Electrical, 35% Structural/Civil, 3% Signals/Communications and 2% Estimating. Duration will be approximately 74 months, including 20 months for Design. Estimated construction cost is over $95,000,000.00. Consultants desiring to be considered to receive a Request for Proposal for this project must respond by submitting a letter of interest and one copy of SF254/255 forms completed in accordance with the directions contained therein, referencing File Number CM-1018. The submission must be received no later than 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, October 31, 1995.
