The firmware and software involved are proprietary to Cabletron and the services required are for maintenaance, update service, and telephone support. Interested persons have 15 calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their requests. Those who are interested in proposing this firmware and software support must submit their qualifications/capabilities (i.e., technical specification, brochure, and price lists) in the critical areas mentioned above. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competition basis. Responses received without the required information will be considered non responsive to the synopsis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this synopsis. A determination by Boeing not to compete this proposed subcontract, on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this synopsis, is solely within the discretion of Boeing.
