R -- R -- ENGINEERING SUPPORT FOR EXISTING JT UAV-HUNTER SYSTEM POC Contact, Gerald Yeager, Phone (703)604-0903 NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND intends to negotiate a cost plus fixed fee type contract with TRW Avionics and Surveillance Group, One Rancho Carmel, San Diego, CA, for engineering support for the existing Joint Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-Hunter systems. The Government plans to utilize one or more of the JT UAV-Hunter systems to conduct a Test, Analyze, Fix, Test program to analyze system performance in various environments. In support of this requirement, test beds will be utilized to fully demonstrate system and subsystem performance in all critical design areas and to support diagnosis of system anomalies. The contractor will be required to design and perform appropriate technical tests, simulations, and analyses to facilitate the mission. TRW is the integrator of the JT UAV-Hunter and has the knowledge and technical data to assure performance of configuration management, cost reduction studies, safety, reliability and maintainability analyses and tracking, and engineering analysis of fielded systems difficulties.
