F. Johnson, 406/329-3950. The Forest Service requires excavator piling
and scarification on the Plains/Thompson Falls Ranger District, Lolo
National Forest, Sanders County, MT. Subitem 1.1 consists of 23 acres
to be bid on a per acre basis and Subitem 1.2 consists of 403 acres to
be bid on a per hour basis, at an estimated 1100 hours. The Government
desires 2 excavators to perform the work, but will consider 1
excavator. Contract time for 2 excavators will be 110 calendar days;
contract time for 1 excavator will be 220 calendar days. A site visit
is scheduled for October 12, 1995. The work is estimated to start on
June 1, 1996. Bids are due on April 1, 1996 with anticipated award date
of May 1, 1996. This project may be advertised as a written quotation
or a solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer which
will be considered. The proposed contract is a 100 percent small
