19 -- DRYDOCK & REPAIR NOAA SHIP FERREL TO BE PERFORMED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S FACILITY. SOL 51-EANA-6-00054 DUE 111695 POC Contact Ingrid Sparger, 804/441-6560/Contracting Officer, William D. Privott, 804/441-6560 Drydock and Repair - NOAA Ship FERREL to be performed at the contractor's facility. Performance period to commence approximately 1/4/96 and shall be completed 40 calendar days thereafter. Basic contract items will include Sea Valve Overhaul, Voids Preservation Underwater Body Coating, Aft Crane Repairs and Weight Test, and others. In addition, there will be four option items, Potable Water Tank Suction Piping Upgrade, A/C Chill Water & Reefer Piping Repairs, Sewage Tank Float Switch Upgrades, and Overboard Discharge Pipe & Valve Mods. Foreseeable costs will be evaluated from Norfolk, VA to Charleston, SC. Vessel will be available for inspection November 2 & 3, 1995, at the Atlantic Marine Center in Norfolk, Va. Characteristics of NOAA Ship Ferrel: Length 133 feet - 3 inches, beam (moulded) - 32 feet - 0 inches;Draft (maximum) - 6 feet - 6 inches; Displacement - 360 tons; Propulsion - Caterpillar diesel reduction, fixed pitch propeller; Electrical Service - Caterpillar diesel generator, 450 VAC, 200 amp, 3 phase; crew size - 19 persons.
