A -- DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF A PERMANENT MAGNET (RADIAL FIELD) SHIP PROPULSION MOTOR SOL N00024-96-R-4062 POC (024J) D. Boyer, Contracting Officer (703) 602-8208, Ext. 460. The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for the design of a 25,000 hp, 150 rpm radial field permanent magnet ship propulsion motor, incorporating two modules, each rated at 12,500 hp. Also included will be an option for fabrication of one 12,500 hp module for test and demonstration purposes. Input power will be from a three phase, 4,160 volt, 60 Hz source. The competitive Request for Proposals is anticipated to be ready for issuance about 15 November 1995. (0276)
